Total Women's Health and Wellness Center

Total Women’s Health & Wellness Center is a professional gynecology practice in Decatur, Georgia. Its staff is composed of Stephanie Carmichael, MD, and Andrea Johnson, MD, both of whom have over two decades of experience in the gynecology field and are certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Through their practice, Dr. Johnson and Dr.Carmichael strive to provide quality care to women of all age groups and backgrounds. The health of the patient is their number one concern. As a team, the highly trained and experienced female physicians offer a broad range of knowledge and skill, plus the latest advancements in gynecology.

**COVID-19 Update**

We are posting updated information as it becomes available and we continue to monitor & follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 protocol. As of now, Total Women’s Health & Wellness Center will remain open to serve you.

We will continue to service all patients who are experiencing problems and will be reaching out to those who are currently scheduled for a preventative “Well Woman Annual Exam” who are NOT experiencing symptoms to consider postponing their visit for a later date.

In order to adhere to CDC recommendations for social distancing, please limit the number of guests accompanying you to your visit.

With over 30 years of service to women in the Atlanta & surrounding areas, we recognize the importance of continuing to serve you with safety & reliability during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We’ve taken measures to continue to provide you industry-leading guidance and service.

The e-blast we sent this past week outlines the CDC’s guidelines as well as a link to read the most up to date information regarding COVID-19. This is an unprecedented situation and we will continue to update you with any changes as they evolve.

Safety
We are continuing to communication with all staff members on proper risk reduction practices including following CDC-approved hand hygiene and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). We are continuing to monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other relevant regulatory agencies, and healthcare organization administrators to ensure we deploy the most current protocols.

Sanitation
Total Women’s Health & Wellness Center will continue to maintain our standard of excellence as it relates to sanitation techniques. Our routine
cleaning and sanitation standards already meet CDC and other regulatory agency guidelines. Additionally, we’ve put in place a heightened disinfection program.

Service
Our office will remain open at our regularly scheduled times. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding COVID-19 and are committed to being responsive to your needs as the situation evolves. Our patients are at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to continuing to serve you with the highest level of care.

We encourage all to continue to follow best practices guidelines provided by the CDC including:

o Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
o Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
o Avoid close contact with people who are sick
o Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces
o Stay at home away from others if you are sick
o Cover mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands
o Do not bring your children to school, go to work, or come to your appointment if you have a cold or flu-like symptoms (elevated temperature over 100, fever, cough, shortness of breath).
